Gaara Sabaku
age ,
Fifteen.
gender ,
Male.
grade ,
Freshman.
social group ,
Basic beautiful people.
orientation ,
He doesn't really care about relationships, but if he did, he probably wouldn't take gender into consideration. If someone loved him for who he is, he'd be content with that, without worrying if they were male or female.
strengths ,
- Physically strong.
- Inquisitive. When he's curious about something that he doesn't understand, he usually asks a pointed question in order to find out what he's wondering about.
- Blunt. He doesn't care much for other people's feelings, so if by chance he does have something to say, he doesn't sugar coat it.
- Intelligent, he spends most of time his thinking, and because of that, he's very smart.
- Since he's usually quiet, Gaara is a very good listener. Whether he says anything useful in return though, depends on the situation.
weaknesses ,
- Emotions--he doesn't understand them, nor does he know how to deal with them. When it comes to his own, he usually bottles them up for lack of anything better to do.
- Sleeping. Gaara rarely ever sleeps, and when he does, it's broken and riddled with nightmares.
- Physical contact. He doesn't like to be touched, it scares him, which causes him to react defensively.
- Gaara isn't exactly annoyed easily, but when pushed to it, he can become quite violent. It's almost as though something else takes over completely.
- Conversation. Going hand in hand with his inability to express his emotions, he also isn't very good at small talk. He speaks when he feels there's something important to say, or if he feels intrigued.
secrets ,
- Although he tends to shove others away, all he really wants is for someone to step in there and care for him, and show him how to do the same.
- When he's alone and in a particularly lonely and depressed mood, he cries. He's not a stranger to crying himself to sleep, either.
fears ,
- Dying alone.
- Never understanding how to handle his feelings.
appearance ,
Gaara's skin is very fair, almost to the point where he looks sick sometimes, though that normally has to do with the lack of sleep. He has crimson hair that tends to be kept short and spiked up, though he doesn't put much effort into it. His eyes are a beautiful shade of green, though very light. Gaara often has bags beneath his eyes from lack of sleep, though they're usually covered up in thick black eyeliner, that completely outlines his eyes. For some reason, the male doesn't have any eyebrows, and never has. The Japanese symbol for 'love' is tattooed on the left side of his forehead, something he got done some time ago. His body is lean but his muscles are apparent; he's not a force to tamper with. His clothing style is usually plain and simple, Gaara wears darker colored clothing. Some of the most common outfits he can be found in are black and deep red, or on occasion, he wears white clothing as well.

In the middle of the afternoon, the sun was shining brightly. Even though the male should've been in school, it had just been one of those days where he couldn't stand to sit still in the classrooms for hours on end. Not that he ever felt like doing so, but today he felt especially restless. So, after his first class, he told his brother that he was leaving. He had insisted on going alone, and had somehow dodged his fan club on the way out. Gaara had gone home quickly to change into his black and white swim trunks that went down to his knees, and left on his fitted dark red t-shirt. He slathered himself in sunscreen, as he certainly wasn't one for tanning, then snagged a beach towel from the closet. From there, he had taken a bus to the beach, which just so happened to be one of his very favorite places to be, when it wasn't cluttered with people, anyway.
The sand felt nice between his toes. Gaara had removed his sandals, and was now carrying them along with his towel as he walked. Finding a relatively secluded area, he set his sandals down, then spread out his towel before laying down on it. He closed his eyes as he let the sun warm up his body. He was content for the time being, glad to be the only person on the beach that he had seen so far. It was nice to have peace and quiet, compared to being at the loud school. He didn't have to deal with showing up Sasuke, or any of that other nonsense.
The time passed, and he began to realize just how alone he was. His fingers were absentmindedly tracing over his tattoo on his forehead. He had gotten it a few years back, to symbolize that he was the only one who loved himself, and only himself; he didn't need anybody else. There was Temari and Kankuro that he felt some sort of attachment to, but they were his siblings. They always stuck together, so it was only natural that he cared for them, even if he didn't show it very often. Then there was his undying fan club at school, but they didn't know him at all. He was incredibly popular, for reasons that even he didn't understand, and got attention that he didn't want. People's eyes were always on him, and yet, no one actually knew him. Gaara would've thought it difficult to be so desperately lonely while being surrounded by so many people, but he had managed it.
Instead of continuing to wallow in the darkness of his mind, he pushed himself up off the towel, and stood up to his feet. Gaara pulled his shirt over his head, tossing it down on the towel, then went toward the water. As his feet were surrounded by the cold liquid, he couldn't help but shiver. It was colder then he had anticipated it to be, but maybe that was for the better. Maybe he'd be so distracted by the cold, that he wouldn't be able to go back and think about everything that depressed him. With that, he moved further into the water, while he mentally yelled at himself to go back to shore. He stopped when the water level was up to his neck. He took in some deep breaths, trying to get his body used to the cold. At least he wasn't thinking about how alone he was anymore.
