The Lonely Lands had been aptly named: they were sparsely populated, to say the very least. They were tucked away from the rest of the world, hiding, it might seem, from all the noise and chaos of the far-away lands. For years and years, the Lonely Lands remained that way, untouched, save for a few quiet, lonesome Pokemon.
But it wouldn't remain that way. Slowly, very slowly, the Lonely Lands became more populated. At first it was just a slow trickle of hounds, but as time passed, more and more hounds came upon the lands.
They--the native hounds--may not know what caused it, but they do know what it means. They understand that with the newcomers there will be packs. There will be alliances, rivalries, wars, and famine. The Lonely Lands are a new frontier to be conquered. As new hounds continue to find their way here, they know that the Lonely Lands will become a stage for the performance of their lifetime.
From the tallest mountain in the Desolation Peaks to the deepest depth of the Raughe River, change is coming to the Lonely Lands, and it will be swift, brutal, and without mercy. Nothing here will ever be the same.--------------
